Nikia Star

Nikia Star is a R&B artist with a sound all of her own. With a power house voice she brings tears to some an shivers to all. She writes and arranges her own songs. She is determined to let the world hear her hearts' expressions of love, hate, growth, fun and appreciation. She also has a hip hop flavor, collaborating with other rap artists. Nikia Star can do so much; sing, dance, write, and act. She has great stage presence. She'll make you feel what she is singing.
Nikia Star is a sexy young lady at the age of 20. Born in Salem, MA and growing up in Lynn, MA, and working on music in Boston, MA. Miss Star has been singing since she was 9 years old but got truly into music at the age of 12. Singing has always been a talent in Nikia's Family. Nikia's Father and manager "Kevin Pusher" ,uncle and older cousins and little sister Kayla, also have the talent so it runs in the family. Nikia's 1 st performance was at a friends going away party at the age of 13. She later started singing at school dances and then sang at her first talent show in Pickering Middle School in 8th grade. In high school she won 1 st place at a show called "Teen Idol" and was involve with many more talent shows and contests. In this period of time she was partnered up with Lamar Colin Phillips, (A.K.A C Phill of C Phill Records) and he became Nikia's producer, producing various songs such as; "Overly Obsessed", "Beautiful Music", "All I Wand", and many that are under construction. She also started working with Phill Brother's Entertainment, ( A.K.A P&C Phill)

While being produced by C Phill Nikia Also started taken vocal lessons with C Phill's father Chucky Smith who stated that she had the "It" factor and said she was ready and it was up to her to take the world by storm. Soon after training with Chucky, Nikia landed a shinning spot to open up for Fat Joe and The Terror Squad at Club Lido in summer of 2004. That following year she opened up, along with Jadore and Sully, for Omarion, O'ryan, and Lloyd. She was promoted along wit the guest of the concert on radio, Commercials on BET and MTV and the Newspaper.
Also in this year, Victor Thomas, Nikia's older cousin became her co-manager/ executive producer.
In August of the year 2005, Nikia and her family moved to Statesboro, GA and hooked up with Darrell Perkins, producer of Bottom Line Productions and Nikia's brother in law. Here is where she collaborated with Outlaw, Darrell's rap artist, who she wrote songs with and performed at local clubs. Darrell has produced many tracks such as, "I've Changed", "Waterfall", "Jeezy", and still working on others to this day. In 2006 she was nominated for Best R&B Female artist of the year at the Boston "Urban Music Awards". Even though she didn't win she highly appreciated the fact that she was one of the top four artist out of 200 females to be nominated.
In November of 2006 Nikia moved to Augusta, GA and met Nicolas Miguel A.K.A Platinum Plaqued of "Platinum Studios". Here is where she started working with Platinum. Still working on her album. She developed a new sound that she would show off who she really was and so that the world can see what she's really made of. Platinum has produced many tracks such as "Do What You Do", "Insane", "Change for the Worst", "Overly Obsessed Remix", "One of them Thugs", and many more that are still in progress. She is currently working with the rapper known as "Young Phoenix". They collaborated on songs called, "Be My Boo" and "Mi Fantasia" and working hard still. Nikia's album will be very pleasing to the public with all the help she has had and will receive. She thanks everyone who supports her and believes in what she does.
