A project in the works for over a year, Nikki Fixx’s current line up has been playing together since the fall 2004. The band features Nikki Fixx on vocals and guitar, Tony on Bass and Mike Holtom on drums. Eclectic musical backgrounds allow the group to incorporate a variety of musical styles, such as reggae, funk and blues. Well written, soulful melodies mixed with raw, over-driven rock give Nikki Fixx a Big Sugar meets Weezer sound. The band is quickly claiming their place in the post alternative rock world.
Nikki Fixx are currently recording their debut EP at Nikki Fixx Studios. The album is set to be released in early spring 2005. With their charismatic stage presence and their funky, rock vibe they have won fans over and have begun to develop a strong following in the K-W area.
Nikki Fixx has spent years touring and doing session work for acts such as The Motor Booty Affair, The Bump Squad and Rufus John. Nikki Fixx has also displayed his abilities off stage touring with The Hillside Festival, Summersault Tour and Ani DeFranco. Such diverse background has brought a great deal of experience and exciting ideas to this new project.
Since their beginning over a year ago, Nikki Fixx have had the opportunity to play with such acts as Great Big Sea, Mudmen, and This is Revenge.
