Lyrics

Chase The Summer

Written By: Nikki Thorburn

Verse 1:
Don’t hold us up, yeh we’re moving on with the animals
The sun has gone it’s time to follow it my love.

Verse 2:
We’ll walk this land, through the dirt and sand, oh we’ll follow it.
And hope our hands give us food in our belly’s.

Bridge:
A
Oh my love we’ll run, to follow the sun.
We won’t stay but may be back some other day.

Chorus:
Coz we were always looking for something, trying to find it with our two hands out,
And we were always singing the same thing, trying to hear it over in our head now,
And we were always holding to nothing, trying to feel it over our skin now.

Verse 3:
But you see this ground, if we just search on down oh we could find something,
I’ll tell you son we could play the seasons out.

Verse 4:
We could build a home, one we could stand upon with our very feet,
We’ve walked too long no we won’t chase the Summer.

Bridge:
Oh my love don’t run, to follow the sun,
Coz we could stay and just do it all again.

Chorus
