24: What made you guys want to rap? Who influenced...
24: What made you guys want to rap? Who influenced you?
GPT: Cash Money, Outkast, Jay-Z, DMX, and No Limit.
24: What makes GPT different from other rap groups?
GPT: We all have different types of sounds and styles a lot of groups all sound alike and GPT is more like 3 separate artists coming together for 1 movement.
24: What are some of the projects you have been working on lately?
GPT: We just finish recording the album and working on our new mixtape "You Can't See Us" and our Outkast mixtape "The Art of Story Telling."
24: What major label do you want to sign to and why?
GPT: If we did pick a major label of course it would have to be a joint venture and maybe Interscope or Universal because Universal have cut a lot of big checks concerning label deals (Cash Money for example).
24: Now and days new artists come and go all the time, so why will GTP be here to stay?
GPT: The real reason why a lot of artist don't stay consistent is because its throw away rap they are doing. The "Snap Music" is big right now but artist like Jay-Z has been here for years and years because he talks about real life and so do we, plus our worth ethic and energy we put in our music will keep us here for sure.
24: If you had a meeting with Jay-Z over at Def Jam and he wanted to hear one of your songs, which would it be and why?
GPT: I would play Jay-Z a song we just recently did off the album called "The Opera" it gives you everything that GPT has to offer the Gangsta, the Pimping, the Truth personally its one of the best songs we have ever done. Great lyrics, song concept, great beat!
24: Your new song "Monsta" has been getting a good response, tell me about the making of that song. Who produced it and who came up with the chorus etc.?
GPT: Nico produced the track he makes all of the beats. When I heard it I felt like when the drum hit it sounded like a T-Rex and he normally saves the beats under names and he had it as "Monsta." We had 2 different hooks for it and eventually used both ideas and came up with 1 great song using the monsta concept and just crusing and riding together.

Nikko is one of the most significant and dominant musicians to emerge within the last 10 years of Hip Hop music. A true self-entity. Like Dr. Dre and Kanye West before him, Nikko is a producer, writer, and rapper all in one. The total package. His music is so important because it symbolizes the new sound of the south. Being born and raised in Gulfport, Mississippi, Nikko is quite simply a product of the south. It almost seems as if he was raised by the streets, with his mother being hip-hop and his father being the cold avenues of the Gulf Coast. Also a talented athlete, Nikko has always been a popular figure in his area. At an early age, he decided to give up a career in sports for a career in music. Growing up around negative figures with positive 'figgas' (i.e. D-Boyz or drug dealers) he developed a sense of style that can never be duplicated. As far as rapping goes, Nikko has always been one for dominance. Armed with a voice and style that are incomparable, he has an undeniable presence on the microphone. Although Nikko is a shining lyricist, producing is probably his most decorated asset. Nikko's beats are a reflection of himself... Flashy, brash, and unapologetic. His beats are so unique, they have been nicknamed the '2010 synthesized bounce'. The beats are ahead of their time, futurisic, and once again, the new sound of the south. With Nikko being such a good lyricist and producer, it's almost impossible to distinguish which one he enjoys most. Only comparable to that of Kanye West right now, he has earned the nickname 'Kanye South'. Nikko's most famous attribute may be being apart of the G.P.T. Boys. Being 1/3 of the supergroup composed of Tito Lopez and SiNCERE has given him that extra edge that many artists don't have. He takes his flashy sound and style and brings it to the group, producing and creating a unique format for the group as a collective. The G.P.T. Boys embodie all three facites of hip-hop, which makes them the ultimate group. "The New Breed" if you will. Tito Lopez provides the (G)angsta element, Nikko provides the (P)imp element, and SiNCERE brings you the (T)ruth. All 3 have chosen to pass on solo records for the moment, and work on an upcoming group album. Learn more about the G.P.T.
