Nina Kinert

Nina Kinert was born in the fall, 1983, on her sisters sixth birthday. She grew up in a pink house outside Stocholm. Nina and her, two year older brother played StarWars in that house, watched StarWars, lived StarWars. Alot of kids did that in the late eighties.
Early mornings Ninas beloved mother got up really early to make Princess-Leia-hairdo´s for her youngest daughter. They were really imoportant for Nina… She needed them to make her day worth while. Not many kids did that… Not even in the early eighties!

After Princess Leia she moved on to being obsessed with The Little Mermaid… She also discovered that she could sing and that that was what she wanted to do all the time… So she did! She sang, and sang and made her family really annoyed sometimes… She sang her way through school. Went to a rock and roll-college where she met alot of the people she is still playing with today… She fell inlove with the coolest drummer ever seen and when that relationship didn´t work out she started to write songs…

In 2004 her first album ”Heartbreaktown” was released through SonyMusic. Next year 2005 she released the second one ”Let There Be Love” on her own label, another.records that she started with producer, co-writer and , nowadays boyfriend Love Olzon.

When it was time to make her third album she and Love had already decided not to work toghether anymore. They wanted just to be together instead So she found Johan Lindström to produce her new songs.
Ninas third album ”Pets & Friends” is a visit back to the old pink house where she grew up. The album contains 12 songs about wizards, demons, heros, love, friends and unborn babies.
She has invited a bunch of old and new friends on the album, such as Ane Brun, Love Olzon, Britta Persson, Elle-Kari Larsson (The Tiny) and Pontus Levahn (Torpedo, Tiger Lou).

Nina Kinert has been playing all around the world. Some might have seen her as an opening-act for Ane Brun. They have working closely since Nina joined Ane on her tour 2006.
