Biography – Nina Slash
Nina Slash is the brainchild of Pablo Duran. After having cut his teeth in many groups in Montreal, he decided to go out on his own in order to produce, arrange, compose and perform his music just the way he intended. "Curiosity" (full-length to be released this fall) is the fruit of many years of labour. It was recorded in Buenos Aires, London, Montreal and New York. Its eclectic sound and feel comes from influences as diverse as Massive Attack, Pet Shop Boys, Peter Gabriel, Prince and David Bowie. The first single, "Candy Box" was mastered at Sterling Sound by Steve Fallone (The Strokes, Seal, TV on The Radio) and the video was directed by Adam Reider (Rail City Media).
