Bio

Ninth in Line is a melodic hard rock band with an unforgettable sound and lyrics that you won't be able to get out of your head. With their energetic and interactive live performances, it's impossible to see them play and leave without being a fan.
All four members of the band are former U.S. Marines who all met while stationed at Cherry Point Marine Air Station. Singer Ben Lewis and guitarist Kyle Johnson became quick friends and started writing songs. Drummer Jon Sprinkle joined the band soon after and the backbone of the band was set.
The band, then called Absynth, went through numerous different members. Guitarists Mike Strickland and Tony Martinez, and bassists Mike Jones (not the rapper), Greg Nicotra and Jason Nelson, all contributed to the bands original sound. Then, once again thanks to the Marine Corps, bassist Domynick Gomez, or Beans as he's known to most people, joined the band. Ninth in Line was born.
Each member of the band brings a different style due to their different backgrounds. Lewis, who grew up in Natchez, Mississippi, belts out amazing vocals with the influence of southern rock and blues. Johnson, from the small town of Big Prairie, Ohio, provides shredding guitar riffs, along with gut wrenching screams heavily influenced by hard rock and metal. Gomez, from Corpus Christi, Texas, adds an element of funk. Delivering incredible bass lines that you can feel in the pit of your stomach. Last is Jon Sprinkle, from Hickory, North Carolina. Sprinkle keeps the rythym of the band with catchy drum beats that are sure to keep your head bouncing.
Opening for headlining bands such as Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle, Crossfade, Puddle of Mudd, Smile Empty Soul and Taproot. They have captivated audiences all over. Ninth in Line is sure to be a big part of the music scene for a long time to come.
