A powerful blend of modern, melodic hard rock channeled through a chaotic labyrinth of esoteric concepts, off-time signatures and twisted musical theory. Catchy, unique and full of dynamic energies, Niobium is a must-hear sound and a must-see live experience.

Conceived in early 2004 by Justice and Kirkland around a more electronica-based concept, a new sort of musical entity was envisioned - one not simply dedicated to writing the next playlist radio jingle or having the 'look' of the Next Big Thing; but a thoughtful musical endeavor encompassing and presenting more esoteric and abstract concepts. One of their first shows in an early 3-member incarnation drew over 80 people on a Tuesday night, demonstrating that the idea had promise. Gradually, over the course of two years, more pieces fell into place and more joining members contributed their influences (ranging from Jethro Tull to Bjork to System of a Down), to evolve the project into a more organic, hard-rock endeavor and the band began a relentless schedule playing Twin Cities venues and branching out into the surrounding Midwest, playing with every type of musical group you can imagine. The band is just as much at home with metal bands as they are unplugged and acoustic with the softer side of things; to date, some 20 or so unplugged appearances have created demand for a yet-to-be-created acoustic album.

The band continues to spread their music to as many ears as possible, currently touring the Midwest in support of their self-titled debut album which is available virtually everywhere online as well as at local Twin Cities brick-and-mortar retailers.
