Nippin' The Nub

Nippin' The Nub is an original rock improvisational band based out of Southern Maine. Having formed in early 2000 it took many years for the band to find all the proper ingredients to create the witches brew of music thats sure to melt the spoon of anyone who dares taste it. Nippin' The Nubs music and sound is truly their own, spanning all genres and ages there is something inside the bag for everyone. No show or jam is ever the same and the music is always evolving which offers a new and unique experience each time NTN takes the stage. Nippin' The Nub currently plays all over New England and is always looking to expand that. Chris Hjort playing lead guitar and vocals has been around since the beginning. One of the founding members, Chris's style of lead and rhythm defines the sound and offers a fresh groove that just makes your body move. Ben Laufer playing keyboards, synthesizer and vocals has been with the band for a few months now and needless to say he is an incredible addition. Opening up doors and laying it down is what Ben is all about. At only 21 Ben brings the soul of the past and the energy of the future to every show. Chad Sclove playing bass and vocals is a staple and driving force for the band. His signature bass lines are the backbone that makes the band stand tall. Chad brings an energy to the band that cant be measured but is always enjoyed. Glenn Johnson playing drums and vocals has been driving the bus since the stone age. With all four limbs on the wheel Glenn continues to lay the beats down always looking to explore new territory. With the edition of Chris Jordan as full time sound and video engineer Nippin' the Nub has continued to press forward letting the music speak for them.
