Biography

Born and bred in Darwin Northern Territory, Nira brings an earthy/ambient sound to the stage with her piano, guitar and soul-full lyrics. Playing music from a young age, her aim is for her music to develop and grow as much as life experiences do, and keep performing around the country, extending her audience to people from as many places as possible. She has played to many audiences in Darwin, including listeners at The Darwin Festival, Discovery Nightclub, Supporting Tex Perkins and the Darwin Entertainment Centre. Her interstate performances include The Swan – Freemantle, The Park Hyde Hotel – Perth and The Moon – Perth. Now residing in Melbourne, Victoria, she’s played at renowned venues such as 303 bar and Revolver Upstairs, and gained live-in-studio air play at 3RRR on ‘The Party Show’. Nira intends to work her way up the ladder to gain support for both local and interstate performances. Along with her live performance credibility, she’s also in the process of starting her own label ‘Liquidfive Records’ for the production and distribution of her recently recorded, six-track EP. Currently self managed, funded and promoted, Quinn takes her industry experience and driven attitude to take the steps to push her forward into national recognition.
