Nita Velo
Nita is a Minnesota native currently working as a performing songwriter and demo vocalist in Nashville TN. Her music has been described as "Contemporary folk with a spoon full of blues and a twist of jazz". She has appeared with Garrison Keiller ( Prairie Home Companion ) and has been a repeat guest artist on Public Radio & TV stations from Minnesota to Tennessee.
Nita earned an Honorable Mention in the International Unisong Contest 2006, Honorable Mention in the Billboard Song Contest, and has been the receipient of numerous grants and recognition awards.
Nita performs solo. She entertains with a variety of Original songs as well as original arrangements of select cover songs
