Niteworks are an up and coming electro fusion act from the Isle of Skye, now based in Glasgow. The band came together during March 2007 for a battle of the bands competition on Skye. They successfully beat many established acts to claim 1st place and the top prize.

All four members were brought up on the Isle of Skye and had a lot of experience playing with each other before performing as Niteworks. Following the success of a number of performances on and around Skye have been busy in the studio recording ideas and reworking their live act, which they will be showcasing in performances over the coming months.

Niteworks take their name from a sample used in their title track Obair Oidhche. The sample - taken from a taped radio interview - accounts an elderly resident describing the changes he has experienced in Breakish, Isle of Skye, from when he was young to its current position. He closes the interview with “Bha obair latha again an uairsin cuideachd. Obair latha is obair oidhche.” Which translated to english reads “We had work to do during the day then too. Day work and night work.”
