NEW JERSEY’S OWN MTVS TOP POP GROUP NJ5IVE TO MAKE FIRST LIVE PERFORMANCE APPEARANCE AT CAMPBELL’S FIELD SINCE SIGNING WITH MOTOWN’S FORMER A&R MAN, MICKEY STEVENSON OF STEVENSON INTERNATIONAL ENTERTAINMENT GROUP

NJ5IVE gained international exposure as one of the top three finalists from MTVs Top Pop Group

Patterson, NJ - On Saturday, September 19, 2009 around 7:00 pm MTVs Top Pop Group NJ5IVE will hit the stage performing their new singles “Rock’n” and “Against” for what promises to be the hottest party and concert of the year with performances by some of the premier hip hop artists in the country: Fabolous, Gucci Mane, the New Boyz, the GS Boyz, and others.

This will be NJ5IVEs first major public performance since signing a distribution and label deal with Stevenson International Entertainment Group whose Founder and CEO, William “Mickey” Stevenson, is former Motown’s A&R man. Songwriter, producer, music mogul, Mickey Stevenson, is one of the unsung heroes behind the extraordinary success of the Motown sound. As Motown's first A&R director, Stevenson not only recruited major stars, but also assembled the company's legendary roster of studio musicians, finding gifted, talented artists, writers, and producers, additionally authoring a number of perennial hits for acts including Marvin Gaye. Stevenson’s responsibilities included working with such artist as Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross and the Supremes, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, Gladys Knight, The Four Tops, Martha Reeves and The Funk Brothers just to name a few.

Mr. Stevenson left Motown and formed Stevenson International Entertainment Group where he landed a multi-million dollar deal for singer, songwriter, producer, Novel, who has produced such artist as, Joss Stone, India Arie and, Monica. Stevenson works to successfully master today’s electronic beats while combining them with a taste of old school flavor. NJ5IVE is a main ingredient in this mix as Stevenson continues to discover and assist up-and-coming artists by developing them to prosper in the industry.

NJ5IVE is made up of Paterson, NJ, natives Gerald "G" Jlien, Quashawn "Qua" Jordan, Shamir "Sha" Alexander, Bernard "Destyn" Hill Jr. and Marquise "Kyree" Foster. The guys believe it's the combination of their five distinct talents and personalities that make them major contenders in the industry. G craves control, Qua oozes passion, Sha plays it cool, Destyn is sensual and Kyree is a wild man.

When they aren't leaning on each other, they look to their families for love and support. In fact, family is very important to G, who sends the money he earns singing to his relatives in Haiti. Meanwhile, Sha sings to honor his mother, who died of a heart attack.

Destyn, a natural born musician, started his career at a young age by singing opera and playing the piano. Proving to be the rock of the group, Qua found solace in singing and writing lyrics while his father drifted in and out prison during his youth. Last, but certainly not least, Kyree attributes his talent to his father, a talented musician and his biggest influence.

For these five friends, music is more than a hobby; it’ their passion and a release from all of life's hardships. Before each performance, they take a moment to pray for loved ones lost and give thanks for being able to overcome life's obstacles. NJ5IVE brings inner passion to their music and harmonies making them just a right fit with one of industry’s classics, superstar makers, Stevenson International Entertainment Group.
