NLP

NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) is a 4 piece heavy/dance rock band based out of Toronto, Canada. They take inspiration from the heavy riffs of Black Sabbath, groovy melodies of Rage Against the Machine and fuse them together with jungle inspired beats and epic vocals.

The band was originally started as the brain child of Brent Sasiela and Rachel Shaw. Hailing from Kitchener ON, Brent launched his music career by starting one of the longest running drum and bass radio stations, Souljah Sessions based out of Conestoga College. Nicknamed as the Tongue Boxer, Brent spent time around Ontario dj'ing Ragga, Jungle and D&B. All the while, he had been playing guitar in various other bands in Toronto including Bank Machine and Sex Butler. In 2007, Brent met Rachel who was singing back up vocals in Chris White's project Bellewoods a folk/rock band also based out of Toronto. After singing lead vocals in another band Vicious Kid, Rachel and Brent decided to start working together on a project that was originally designed to be a 2 piece. After months of writing and recording together, they decided that it would be better to perform live with a full band. Over 2 years ago, Brent and Rachel met Tait Rowsell (The Best, Members of the Academy) who eventually became their drummer. Most recently NLP has recruited Eli Moody (Members of the Academy) as their bass player.

NLP is currently working on an EP set to be released at the end of the summer 2013.
