Bio

NLXXII purchased his first keyboard in 1998 and basically hasn’t looked back since. He churned out tracks for local acts in his native Pensacola, Florida, also solely producing for the Hip Hop group Live Wire that he was a part of. In May 1998 his military service took him to Tokyo, Japan, and in May 1999 he put together tracks for the first official Live Wire release “Real Til I Die”, on Megaforce/Schooler Records Japan. Through some valuable connections he also featured with BMG Japan major recording artist Showlee on her single "Faith" and recorded video game songs for KONAMI and keyboard demo songs for YAMAHA. Live Wire also performed at several venues throughout Tokyo, the two most notable being Club Fire in Yokohama and having the honor of being booked at Don Cornelius' SOULTRAIN CAFE for the month of March 2000.

After returning to Florida in 2002 he became co-owner of Undaground Sector Entertainment where he began assembling his own roster of artists. During this time he created "The Wake-Up Party" radio introductions for "Ray-Ray", 92.9 WBLX's morning show disc jockey reaching over 2 million listeners daily. He produced the release “Southern Hostility” in August 2004, the first project from the label for the group ArchRyval (formerly known as Live Wire). The disc received critical acclaim and included work from Steven Stewart hailing from Helsinki, Finland, and the sultry vocals by Yarbrough & Peoples on the sampled classic, "Rock U". The song “Rock You” and The Roots' "Don't Say Nuthin'" were the only Hip Hop/Rap singles included on the CMJ On Air Sampler, a compilation disc that was given to an estimated 10,000 people attending the CMJ Music Marathon October 13th-16th 2004, and distributed in issue #850 of CMJ New Music Monthly.

In 2005 NlXXII moved to the “city of syrup” Houston, Texas where he met up with his ace Dusten Wes. Dusten was previously stationed in killeen, texas where he was aligned with several talented mc’s who all fell under the umbrella of “Dirty Rugged” - founded by Dot Nyce. the duo would make several trips back and forth working on several underground projects and even though NLXXII enlisted into the Army in 2007, he would get orders back to Killeen, Texas in 2008, continuing the push for Dirty Rugged to be recognized as an elite entity. NLXXII is currently working on several releases soon to be available for download.

The moniker NLXXII- NOMAD72- perfectly describes the mentality of this Piscean artist, producer, engineer, songwriter, and visionary. The acronym standing for “No Optimistic Mind Accepts Defeat” makes it clear-- sheer determination, perseverance, and a bit of stubbornness aren’t enough to keep one focused in today’s music world for you must love what you do. It is this unlimited love for Hip Hop and music in general that separates N.O.M.A.D.72. from the vast majority of so-called beat makers looking to make that quick buck. His style is an eclectic blend encompassing the elements of Hip Hop, R&B, and Funk with touches of Rock influences. Intense energy is poured into his work and the results are immediately evident when you press play.

NLXXII is a member of BMI.
