With successful solo projects under his belt, NLZ aka War Machine, is back in the States and ready to engage the world with his inspiring story, skills, and musical versatility. Newly relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, his ultimate goal is to network “25/8” (as he calls it) and to inspire and give back to the community. If you’re not familiar, get to know him!

A veteran of The US Army’s 101st Air-assault Division, NLZ (Nefariuz Lyrical Zen) is a producer and MC/lyricist whose skills and determination are a force to be reckoned with. Also known as War Machine, in part to his former military position, his musical style is best described as “unorthodox articulation.” NLZ’s lyrics are direct and real, always pouring something substantial back into the hip hop world.

As an independent Artist / Producer, NLZ has been fortunate to travel the world from the US to Japan, Korea, Germany, Dubai, and beyond. He has been a part of hip hop groups such as ILL Klik, HEADTUCHAZ (formerly Universal Soldiers) ,Team Napalm & Currently Sylnt Soldierz and as himself, a solo artist/producer who successfully opened up for major acts such as Redman, Scarface, Wu Tang Clan, Def Comedy Jam events, etc. In 2006, NLZ’s solo career catapulted when he was signed to GME for a record deal. The album was properly titled “N-Destruktable” (with Swiss Producer, NPLAYZ.) NLZ has had 3 other cataloged solo releases and has been consistently involved as an artist and producer in the underground music industry and with overseas artists.

Currently, NLZ wears two significant hats: businessman and entertainer. He is a talent manager for WuTang Management and is the Co-CEO of D.I.G.I. Plugged with Falana Alston of Q Media, covering an international network. As a producer, he is soon to release his highly anticipated Techno/ House Production album, “All I See Is Red” in January 2011 as well as his new street release series: Loose Leaf, followed by the new album “All About M.E. (Mind Elevation).

One way NLZ is giving back is by participating in Tough Mudder with Team Backstage Beat to raise money for The Wounded Warrior Project. Tough Mudder is a 10 mile, 3 and ½ hour long obstacle course in which teams participate in various phases that may include mud, fire, and electric currents in some instances. Wow we didnt see it coming.In just a short stint "TEAM NAPALM" is no longer as quoted from Dom Pachino (KILLARMY) Due to statements made on wu-international.com . He stated "4 the record, Team Napalm is my troops you see me with at my shows, in the streets, taking care of biz behind the scenes 4 me etc... I recently cleaned house so all the cats that was on the invasion album are no longer on the team except for Crunch Lo, Due to me weeding out who was gonna ride to the end and who was an opportunist,So if you see a n**** dropping an album and it don't have a Napalm logo on it don't support it on my strength". Many in the underground hip hop communities feel those statements were aimed at NLZ ((due to NLZ appearing on a vast amount of projects outside of "Team Napalm")).NLZ responded to all the hearsay at chambermusik.com forums in which he had to say.."P had to clean house because in the long run there was no TEAM stability because most of the time Dom Pachino & Myself were going to all the meetings,traveling to different states,paying for things etc ourselves.. and the weight always fell on us and the tension was evident.So I would try to find whatever avenues to bring noise to the situation and we came across many false promises and at a point he was fed up and i feel him cause it's a drain to have options put in front of you then have them not manifest and we were the only ones really facing these things and there were no other team members sharing that stress.But i remained optimistic and at times i needed my space to think and get some things situated with my personal life.I took the opportunity to work for Godmother Entertainment and have Godmother represent me as my buisness manager in which i wanted P to be a part of ,but what they offered to do for him he felt it wasn't good enough so he declined the offer..that's his decision.I feel that a little of something is better than alot of nothing and i guess he took it the wrong way cause i never stopped reppin napalm regardless of my movements...but i guess that's life and when he didn't show up for my video shoot in which we would have shared that spotlight, that was the nail in the coffin" .In Observing both sides of the story I come to an understanding of one artist whom is outgoing at any regard to help the team to the comparison of the other whom is weathered by traveling many roads filled with false promises...They were "The TEAM" cause no one else stepped up to help them nor did they share their pain ...we hope they can get over this and not let egos bring demise to what could be a great one two punch!

Rap and Hip Hop lyricist Dom Pachino of Wu-Tang cla's Killarmy Army presents NLZ from Team Napalm. NLZ revealed to Wu-International.com that the 2 are currently working on a full length album entitled "The Invasion" due out this winter 2005.

Dom Pachino Presents NLZ [Nefariuz Lyrical Zen]: Of Team Naplam, Not many people knew much about NLZ north of the Mason Dixon, until he burst out of the speakers through Dom Pachino's release of Napalm World early this year on the track "You Can't Hold Me" NLZ aka War Machine spent 5 years in the military & thru the experiences and time away he grew and understood things on a different plane. Building with a number of GODs & Earths, he absorbed knowledge and aligned his mind with his Inner "G".Well diverse in any environment or topic if you listen to his wordplay you'll find the growth within his writing abilities project to project.

While living in Korea for a year he formed a squad called ILL KLIK and they put out tapes which were well received.He Returned to the states in 95 and formed a squad called "Universoul Soldiers" which eventually became "The Headtuchaz". Performing in many venues he had the chance of meeting a number of Wu-tang killa beez such as RZA,Method Man,Inspectah Deck,Blue Raspberry,etc and from there met more and more members of the extensive Wu-Fam. NLZ has been around music since he was a kid, immersed in the older jazz records his father played, from the likes of George Duke, George Benson, Quincy Jones, and Grover Washington, Jr. NLZ grew up in East Orange, New Jersey and has experienced what the 'hood had to offer a young mind - from violence to the destruction of individuals through drugs. He was fortunate to have a father, a loving aunt, and grandparents who did their best to keep NLZ off the streets.

At the age of 10, NLZ would write just to rhyme and also played the clarinet. He was mostly inspired by MCs like T La Rock, Marley Marl & MC SHAN, LL COOL J, RUN DMC, and many others. Then came Kool G Rap, KANE, RAKIM, NAS, CORMEGA and eras after.

In 1995, NLZ formed a squad called "Universoul Soldiers," which eventually became "The Headtuchaz." They toured with various hip-hop groups. After bad deals and setbacks NLZ set out to record his own projects and hit the road with Dom Pachino (PR Terrorist). From there he built on an endeavor offshoot from KILLARMY known as TEAM NAPALM. Since releasing Napalm World in January '05 they've gotten publicity on all Wu-affiliated sites.
