No Mortal Before

In March of 2014, three eighth-graders came together to form a punk band called, No Mortal Before. The band's early songs had consistently been filled with satirical lyrics and a garage punk sound. In June 2014, the band released their debut EP, "Punk Rock At Its Worst." The band got minimal success for it, profit wise, but gained some relevance in the Jacksonville music scene. The band played their first show at Burro Bar during the Jacksonville Original Music Festival. The band announced in October 2014 that they were rerecording their EP with more songs, making it a "mixtape" with less of the garage punk, sometimes vulgar, satiric nature that fans are used to and more of the sound the band wants to make. The band has released two demos from the new version of "Punk Rock at its Worst" which will be released later this year around September-October.

After a couple of bad shows and tons of reviews, the band realized this was to change their sound. The band is currently in the rebuilding stages, scrapping "Punk Rock At Its Worst", adding a new member, and changing their genre. When they're done, they hope that the music is what they want to make and is something that they can be proud of.
