"Humble Beginnings"

Recent Reviews for Humble Beginnings - GARAGEBAND.COM 2005

Performed with verve. Like something from the 70's post funk with a cross hatch of punk sensabilities. This is a stylistic mutt song Original bonus points. Hard to not like this song. Extra Credit: Originality, Most Rocking Track.

Killer Bass lines.I love it when I hear a bassist that can actually play and not just drive. The performance is well done. It is put together very well. I don't think that you sound like anyone I've heard before. Cool guys! Extra Credit: Bass, Beat.

You guys are a solid band. Your performance is flawless. Who do you sound like? Good news - nobody I know of! You've got some solid hard core elements in here but you've also got some punk and some alternative rock. You definitely strattle many genres and I defintely like that about this band and this song.

"Matter Of Minutes"

Recent Reviews for Matter of Minutes - GARAGEBAND.COM 2005

Spend $ on your cd and I'll buy it No sh#t. Track me down and i'll pay money for it.

Big Guitar intro!!! Rock and roll is well and alive in this song. Moving guitar, pumping bass and strong drum work make this song gel. Good vocal styling. Production and performance were good. Lyricaly sound the song moves right from the start. Big hook that stands out like a sore thumb. Welcome to the new world!! Double C Extra Credit: Male Vocals, Guitars, Drums, Bass, Most Rocking Track.

Nice Hook Well, I really like the energy and angst on the chorus 'welcome to the new world'. The sound of this band reminds me a bit of Sucidal Tendencies and my days back at the Ritz seeing the likes of Testament & Nuclear Assault. Nice job overall, I really liked the tune- especially the hook.

Bio

Aaron, Ross, Jimmy and AJ. All products of what we refer to as "Tha Wasteland" went to the same high school, and were all members of different bands at one point in time. After each of those projects came to a halt we came together forming No 1 Left Standing - February 6th, 2005.
Wasting no time, we quickly began writing songs, fusing together the musical influences that each member had to offer. Our first live show came shortly after writing half of our first album, April 16th 2005. Where we played for a crowd of over 100 friends and local music fans. This show helped fuel the fire, and was the beginning of a long list of shows that included venues like the Ogden Theatre, Bluebird Theatre and the Oriental Theatre within our first year of playing the local scene. Since then we've been featured as having the #1 Heavy Rock Track on BandSpace.com 3-1-06 ("Matter of Minutes"), Alternative Metal Track of the Day on GarageBand.com 5-5-06 (Swollen), and featured on the cover of the YourHub.com Newspaper 2-16-06. We've played the majority of the venues that Denver and the surrounding cities have to offer pretty steady with some weeks as many as three nights in a row, including many self organized, promoted and produced shows, building our fan base and street team in Colorado.
We've recorded and released our Debut Album "N1LS" and have promoted internationally using tools like our Website, MySpace, Garageband.com, and are actively pursuing other avenues of self promotion.
Since the CD release party on October 29th 2006, we've sold well over 100 copies of the album at our shows as well as a shit ton of shirts and hoodies.
Now starting our third year after well over 50 live performances including opening for national acts such as HED P.E.- Suburban Noize Records, Imperial- Pluto Records, Bringing Down Broadway- Wounded Records, Kingston Falls- Facedown Records, No 1 Left Standing is keeping it real, with the same line up of original members, working on the second album and will be performing nationally.
Look for us live in a city near you. - N1LS
