Noah + The Rescue Radio

Noah + The Rescue Radio is the alternate musical world of Noah Wotherspoon. Widely known for his electric guitar playing & his accolades in the blues, Wotherspoon has simultaneously written hundreds of songs over the years that explore a vast myriad of styles ranging from alternative, pop/rock & psychedelia to new weird America, lo-fi vignettes, & experimental tape loops. Featuring Tom Rastikas on bass and Josh Johnson on drums; the Rescue Radio has performed at festivals & venues all over the mid-west & east coast, including Chicago, Philly, & NYC. 

Noah began playing guitar at an early age & in his teens was already performing at the Chicago Blues Festival & alongside blues legends such as Hubert Sumlin (Howlin' Wolf's guitarist) & Henry Townsend (pre-war St. Louis bluesman). His love & dedication to the blues art-form continues (in 2012 "The Noah Wotherspoon Band" made it all the way to finals at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis TN.). What makes Noah such a unique artist is that coinciding with a prolific career in the blues, he has also created an abounding body of song-writing inspired by a kaleidoscope of influences ranging from Marc Bolan, Dylan & Elliott Smith to Hendrix, MBV, the Velvet Underground, Buddy Holly & Hank Williams Sr.. animating a colorful sound-scape further deepened by his blues roots. The Rescue Radio is where Noah channels his limitless and imaginative sonic vision, with lyrics of depth, humor, seriousness & heart.
