""Pleasantly Surprised""

“I was pleasantly surprised by what I was hearing. I really couldn’t believe my ears. It was refreshing to hear the different influences in his music. Noah is heavily influenced by David Gray, Credence Clearwater Revival, and Van Morrison. All of Noah’s music is original and all of the melodies sound different. I was very impressed by the originality and the fact that he can play the guitar, the harmonica and the piano.
The music was well put together and the lyrics were good, but what impressed me the most was when he went to the piano and started to play a song he wrote called Long Distance Call. It reminded me of my own past experience with lost love. The song, for me, was very moving. I really enjoyed the song he wrote called Hannah. It tells the story of how Noah came to be with his wife. I have seen several bands that just go through the motion of playing music. I can honestly say that Noah really feels his music. I was starting to feel it too. There were several songs that made me feel like getting up off the chair and start dancing.”

Bio

Noah Collins is pure, Americana. And at 26 years old, his reputation as one of the region’s hottest up and coming independent folk artists is growing like wildfire.

A Chattanooga native, Noah Collins lived in the Dominican Republic for two years. It was there in the “campos” where Collins says he developed his percussive finger picking style. 2007 brought him back home to begin work on his debut release Heart on a Line. Americana-UK gave the album 7 of 10 stars after its release in 2008.

With coarse, heart-filled vocals comparable to Manchester-born musician David Gray and American songwriter Jackson Browne, Noah Collins delivers a moving performance. A compositional minimalist, Collins compliments simple words with discreet rhythms.

To support Heart on a Line He is playing all over the southeast in big city venues, colleges, festivals, cafes, and coffee houses. Noah Collins is a regular at regional venues like Decatur’s Eddie’s Attic, and Chattanooga’s Rhythm and Brews.

Heart on a Line is available for download on i-Tunes, Amazon MP3, & Rhapsody.
