noah first came on to the scene in the summer of 2017 embodying the free college spirit, with an uptempo vibe and youthful aura. The duo brings a unique fusion of pop and R&B, coupled with the added flare of funk inspired bass lines and live guitar. Coming from the Santa Barbara region of California Noah Somaratne and Noah Perlmutter became friends in high school, but it wasn’t until their sophomore year of college that they decided to work together musically seriously. 

Both Noah’s grew up with a love for music and dabbled with some recording and production in their high school days. When the pair was separated for college they each dove head first into fine tuning their craft. In 2017, they linked up in a studio back home in California where they wrote their debut single “City Lights” and never looked back. After amassing over 100 thousand streams in less than 2 years, they realized that they had struck a chord. In the Spring of 2019, noah opened for 6LACK at UNC Chapel Hill’s Spring Jubilee concert. 

Music has always been an escape for the duo; a way to tune out the rest of the world and create something truly authentic from the ground up. Every track is self produced, written, mixed, and mastered giving the audience the chance to truly connect with their inspirations and emotions. Each song is a world in its own, transporting the listener into their musical and lyrical narrative. 

Currently based in the Bay Area, the two are focusing their efforts on perfecting their craft even further. In 2020, the pair is focused on preparing a demo to pitch to artists and vocalists, however they are still expecting to release several more singles throughout the year.
