The Rebel

Written By: Noah Tye

The Rebel

Cape Breton rebel rolled into town today
Didn’t look like he had much left
Beaten up station wagon on her last legs
He had whiskey and diesel on his breath

But He looked up and me and said with smile
“They call me rebel but Angus is the name
I’ve bin here before, but it’s been a long while
Streets look familiar, but the faces have all changed.”

Gotta make your way Back Home
Sing the boys another country song
Tell em’ bout the highways, and all places you have roamed
But you gotta tell em why you were gone so long.

Heard you stirred em’ up on Parliament Hill
Gave them a real peace of your mind
Wrote you a free ticket to go where you will
But there have been a lot of miles since those times

Rebel tell me where’d it all go
Fame and fortune at your back door
He said, “Freedom is kind of funny, don’t you know,
But The Rebel, will have his day once more.”

Gotta make your way Back Home
Sing the boys another country song
Tell em’ bout the highways, and all places you have roamed
But you gotta tell em why you were gone so long.

The Way it Goes

Written By: Noah Tye

The Way it goes

It’s Monday Morning, on the first train-leaving town,
I can see you talking, but I can’t hear a sound.
Need to keep moving, getting tired of hanging around.

Well it’s just the way.. The way things go
Just the way, The only way I Know.

The wheels start tuning, and the rain came pouring down
It’s not my heart that’s leavin, but our love has run aground.
Until my souls returning, fate is lost or faith is found.

Ooohs’s

Chorus

Don’t you cry for me, cause I’ll still be gone
I saw the man I could be, he didn’t stay around too long
Remember a man who lived free, a man of his song.

Solo (2 bar)

It’s just the Way, the way things go.
Just the way, the only way I know.

Got to Start your rambling, but you better take it slow
When your Brain is Scrambling, do you know which way to go?
If loves like gambling, Check your odds before you roll.

Oooh’s

Chorus

Don’t you cry for me, cause I’ll still be gone
Saw the man I could be, he didn’t stay too long
Remember a man who lived free, a man of his song.

Grey

Written By: Noah Tye

Grey

Summer days, when we were young
Love was new, life had just begun
It’s funny how time can change
Yesterday. So suddenly

Do you remember when our skies turned grey?
Did you build up those walls in just one day?
Or can you even say.

I sat and watched, your heart tuned cold
The confusion lies where your soul was sold
Life can’t be a fairy tale on every page,
But the world spins faster every day

Do you remember when our skies turned grey?
Did you build up those walls in just one day?
Where did your heart hide that day?

Wonder through the streets at night
With this heart sinking low, beneath the satellites
It’s not your love I feared, cause the world goes on
But its moving too fast so you better hold
You better hold on.

Do you remember when your skies turned grey?
Did you build up those walls in just one day?
Or can you even say.
