“The concert kicked of with folk solo singer/songwriter senior Noah Woods. I must say I was pretty impressed with the way he carried himself onstage. He had an arrangement of instruments that he played for the crowd all while keeping that warm folk rock sound.”

Bio

To some, Noah Woods' natural artistic talent is simply a mystery; though most say it's a unique gift. Growing up in a severley "tone deaf" family he taught himself to play guitar, write music, and synthesize multiple instruments simultaneously. Noah has the unique ability to listen and instantly replay songs he hears on the radio, flavoring his own spice into each one.

As a Washington, DC native, Noah spent most of his childhood singing at school, home and, like everyone else, in the shower. He was often asked to perform and sell CD's at local events, parties, weddings, schools and annually at Thanksgiving in his family's basement.

After many years of playfully teaching himself guitar, Noah began to realize his innate talent for songwriting. In the hope of pursuing and refining his ability Noah studied electronic music, music theory and recording while attending The University of Tampa. He was given unlimited time, courtesy of his professors giving him an extra key, in the recording studio and spent most every free hour there composing and recording. Throughout his collegiate days, he played guitar and sang in several bands as well as independently. While at school, he was invited to perform over 100 times throughout Tampa, Florida, allowing him to sharpen his musical abilities.

Noah's music is a mix of alternative rock, pop rock, easy-listening, and Americana, fusing together to create a clean, 'modern vintage' sound that gravitates listeners of all ages. His organic melodies, thought provoking lyrics, and foot tapping rhythms create catchy songs that send messages of global harmony.

Ready for the big city, Noah has moved back to the Washington, DC area and is currently working the local scene. He is continuing to write and produce his own compositions while performing.
Noah's focus on people's feelings and experiences are expressed in his songs and his music, all of which he writes himself. 'It's full of heart," says one loyal listener and long time fan. A favorite among the crowd is "Abode" a song about discovering a new home and the joy it brings to be finally settled in.
