Biography

Noelle Ventresca grew up in Long Island, New York. She began taking piano lessons at the age of 10. Soon after she began lessons, she began writing original material. She continued to develop her musical talent throughout high school by participating in chorus, musical theater, and starting her first band. She also made her mark in high school by writing a musical, of which she played the leading role. Noelle began honing her performance skills not only in musicals, but also by performing at local coffee houses and at school events.
After high school Noelle moved to Maine to attend Colby College. She participated in an a capella group while enrolled. After deciding that music would always be at the center of her life, Noelle transferred to the famed Berklee College of Music to continue her study of music. By the time she arrived at Berklee, she had already composed over fifty original songs.
Shortly after arriving at Berklee she was asked to play piano for two bands, MissDepartures and Squints Palladorus. Although her music is her first priority, she can be seen gigging in the Boston area with these two other pop/rock bands as the keyboardist and background vocalist. Noelle is double majoring in Songwriting and Music Business/Management at Berklee, so she can learn everything she can about being a successful musician.
Noelle’s passion lies in songwriting, where she has mastered the aspect of telling a story through her music. Songwriting is her form of expression, and she doesn’t hold anything back.

Lyrics

A Little Unfortunate

Written By: Noelle Ventresca

It's all a little unfortunate for you, my dear
It's all out of your control
And you don't want to hear that I'm in another place altogether
And how you have to let me go
It's all a little unfortunate for you, my dear
That I ain't got no time to play with you
I never meant to be that twinkle in your eye
I didn't mean to cause pain unto you

I've undoubtedly spent all the words
in an effort to make you understand
My heart's not in this, I'm sorry
I'm in love with another man

It's been a bit predictable for me, my dear
I need a little more intensity
We can't sit here like we're content with each other
When I need more than pleasantry

I've undoubtedly spent all the words
in an effort to make you understand
My heart's not in this, I'm sorry
I'm in love with another man

The Edge

Written By: Noelle Ventresca

Take a step in my direction
I'll make it easy on you
Take a guess at my perception
Want to be my fool?

If I want you to,
Will you quiet your eyes?

Just a mess for my affection
and I've been a bad, bad girl
As I undress your perfection
you glance into my world

But if you want me to
show you the edge
Then I will have to
silence your mind

But if you want me to
show you the edge
Then I will have to forget
So you want me to
show you the edge?
Well I will have to silence your mind

Where We Are

Written By: Noelle Ventresca

So this is where we are, where we've resided
Halfway from nowhere, and a mile until we're fighting again
But I don't want to fight with anyone but you
A million days left until I can love you without restrain
And plenty of held in breaths and kisses that I can lay on you

But I want something more than words on your tongue
I want explanation and a little dignity
I want the laughter that will leave me feeling young
But most of all I want you to need me

So this is where we are, five steps from falling
And that much closer to knowing ourselves apart

But I want something more than words on your tongue
I want explanation and a little dignity
I want the laughter that will leave me feeling young
But most of all I want you to need me

I took a chance on the eyes that were lost
But I don't regret anything that I said because I left it all on the board
And I was willing to risk even more
