No Exit seamlessly integrates compelling originals with a riveting mix of classic covers. The result is exciting, authentic, and danceable music that allows audiences to rediscover and experience the exhilaration of music lovers in the 60s and 70s, in a timeless, contemporary presentation.

The band members have a variety of backgrounds, playing music in Santa Cruz, the North and East Bay. Several members of the band had played with each other in previous bands, and decided to form No Exit to explore their mutual interests in classic rock and songwriting. As No Exit, they have played in clubs such as 50 Mason Social House, the Red Devil Lounge (SF), the Awaken Café, the Night Light, Berkeley’s Ashkenaz, the 23 Club in Brisbane, and at events such as the Haight Ashbury Street Fair, Solano Stroll and Piedmont Harvest/Jazz Festival,

No Exit's originals are accessible to a wide variety of music lovers. From an Americana rock core of sounds on songs like "Roar", "I Got It", and "I'm Falling", to the resonant storytelling in tunes like "The Big Lawn", and "Tell Me", the music continues on into songs of emotional depth ("I Waited for You", "Can You See Me") and uplifting dance-ability ("Three Skies", "Casting Out Your Name").

No Exit’s covers set lists demonstrate the band’s love for some of the greatest artists of the classic rock era, including The Who, The Rolling Stones, and Bob Dylan. However, the bands roots include the great blues and soul music that inspired their idols, and so No Exit frequently takes the music into unexpected places: honoring the heart of "Wicked Game", while bringing an urgency that demands revealing, or a version of “Welcome to Paradise” that gut checks across generations. This approach keeps the music inventive and fresh, and engages the audience by eschewing nostalgia to reconnect with the excitement that makes the music great.
