Bio

A band with something to say, and nothing to lose. Made up of six Brisbane boys, No Filter are an urban movement of rebellious expression that carries a menacing edge of Rock, Rap, Metal and Funk.

Heavily influenced by Incubus, Rage against the machine, Chilli peppers and rap, the music combines a contrast of sweet melody, heavy riffs of distortion, funky rhythm and a whole lot of zest.

The six boys make up of drums, bass, 2 guitars, turntables and 3 vocalists who exploit their natural ability to deliver emotional, energetic performances that give back to the fans.

With the recent online release of the new single Where are you now, No Filter headlined its launch party held at The Hi-fi located in West End, Brisbane on the 26th of Feb 2011. This release however is meant to be, just a taste of whats to come in the new EP thats set to be launched in the coming months of 2011

No Filter formed in Brisbane 2004 who quickly took out the Rockstar Band Competition against 49 other entrants. An unexpected triumph being only their 5th live performance ever played together, thus confirming a promising future for the new band on the block.

They earned an adoring following along the way as No Filter lapped up the live circuit of Brisbane and its surrounding coasts of seasons fesivals. By the end of 06, No Filter had played along side Butter Fingers at the 4ZzZ Market day festival and Regurgitater at the Valley Fiesta. They were main support band for band 28 Days', joining them on the 'Bring em Back tour of Queensland 06'.

Following a live interview with radio station 4ZzZ, No Filter finished the year with a bang, releasing their debut E.P 'Suit Up' to a sell out show at The Living room in Paddington.

The boys have since built a new studio (Pisscotton Studios) in which they created their new E.P thats scheduled to be released in May 2011. This has allowed them the privilege of exploration into new sounds, style refinement and endless freedom of creativity. Producer Greg Reason from Brisbane assisted with the mixing process before it was sent to Mathew Agoglia in New York for mastering treatment.

"We focused more on refining our style though a distinct variety of tracks for this album. Pushing the boundaries of contrast and genre to satisfy our very own broad musical tastes and influences"
