Bio
The Noir Project was founded in January 2010. In the background there is the Faculty of Architecture at the Polytechnic of Turin, where Lorenzo Ruggi, bass player, meets Giorgio Tedesco, who has a great passion for keyboards and eletronic music. It 's an important match for both sides, and the two guys decide to start up a new experimental group. Ruggi callede the former musicians from his past band Paper Street Soap Company: David Marletta, guitarist and MarcoPetrillo, voice, who decide to join the band as soon as they heard the first demo.
With this line up, the four guys started the rehearsals but thanks to Giorgio, the group is expanding: soon it will be added Fabio Bruni, guitarist,followed by Alessandro Valenti, drummer, both former members of Neverge. In a first time, the band was called Mirror and started to perform different show in Turins club. In November 2010 the singer Marco left the band to irreconcilable differences and, instead, comes the voice of Andrea Morini, Undersmokingdoors second guitar and former backing vocals and guitar for the pop duo of MP2. The new line-up was called Noir Project. The songs are refined, working together with experimental new harmonic lines that are heavily influenced by bands like Tool, NineInch Nails, A Perfect Circle, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam. Rock joins the electronics, creating a balanced mix of different sounds together.
The Noir Project first 5 tracks EP, was recorded at the Rock Lab Studio in Turin and it is currently available.
