Nok Knucklez is Hip Hop realist who is passionate about the music he creates and is an advocate for the preservation of true Hip Hop music. His style is primarily east coast. He stays in his lane, which makes him a master craftsman at what he does. His sound is reminiscent of mid 90's east coast Hip Hop, brand new and vintage at the same time, definitely a relief for the true Hip Hop enthusiast.
Nok began his journey in Hip Hop 25 years ago as a young aspiring B-Boy, Pop Locking rocking suede Puma's with fat laces, you know the look!
At the age of 13 Nok began Dj'ing and soon caught the Emcee bug, listening to Red Alert and Marley Marl and pretending he was "Steady B" in his bedroom on a makeshift stage.
One Christmas in 1987, Nok got his first piece of prodution equiptment a Casio SK-5 Sampling Keyboard. WOW!
Continuing to develop as an Emcee, Nok finally made it to the "big time" in 1993 he got signed to Payday/PolyGram Records as 1/3 of the Hip -Hop group RAAZDA RUKKUZ.
The group was signed to a Maxi-Single deal and was produced by the D.I.T.C. Great, Diamond D.
The group suffered several up's and downs, from lack of promotion to the change of direction in Hip Hop music.
After being released from the label in 1995, Nok continued to develop as a producer.
Nok has been in the game now for 25 years and has seen the evolution that has occured in Hip Hop, some for the better, but mostly for the worse.
As Hip Hop has become this big money machine, we've seen the passion fade among artist in the Hip Hop community.
Money is a necessary evil, so We understand the qwest to obtain it, but while obtaining it Nok has and will never lose the passion.....
