Biography

No Limitz...A Country Rock band headed up by singer/songwriters Sherry Crawford and Dana Blayone. Starting out as an acoustic duo in 2003, they brought a team of talented musicians on board in 2005 when they were invited to open for Johnny Reid and Corb Lund at a local festival. It took their acoustic duo to a full vibrant sound with rock and blues touches due to the added influences from the band members. Their style is fresh and interesting which adds to their beautifully blended harmonic sound described as “Joan Jett meets the Judds at a Dixie Chicks Concert”. It's music with its own personality and a band that loves to continually blend genres. To date they have also shared the stage with Canadians artists such as Duane Steele, Sean Hogan, Ian Tyson, Julian Austin, Steve Fox and Samantha King. In July 2008, they released their 1st single, "I Know What I Know" from their 2nd album to national radio, and that fall they released "CRANK UP THE HEAT", an upbeat and super fun Christmas song written with the collaboration of the entire band. Whether you're talking to them in person or watching their performance, the positive energy that radiates off the girls, leaves you feeling like there really are "No Limitz"!

Lyrics

Sleep Tight

Written By: Dana Blayone / Sherry Crawford

Covers up my sleepy head
Clock has struck and it’s time for bed
Close your eyes and away you dream
To places you have never seen

Fly away up in the sky
Touch the clouds you can if you try
Soar through space and swing on the moon
Go to sleep and you’ll be there soon

Chorus
Sleep tight little one
Hugs and kisses and "I love you Mom"
"Where’s my teddy bear
Keep the light on so he won’t get scared
And I promise to see you in my dreams
After we say prayers" mmm mmm
After we say prayers

Swim the ocean bottom deep
There’s a dolphin there you could meet
Let him show you how to ride a wave
Or just relax and fish for the day

Sleep tight little one
Hugs and kisses and "I love you Mom"
"Where’s my teddy bear
Keep the light on so he won’t get scared
And I promise to see you in my dreams"
And I promise to see you in my dreams
Yes I promise to see you in my dreams
After we say prayers mmm mmm
After we say prayers mmm mmm

Sleep tight

God Wears Camouflage

Written By: Dana Blayone / Sherry Crawford

She was driving down the road one day
When she heard her five year old say
Mom I know why we can’t see God
It’s because he wears camouflage

But I can see him in the trees
(I can see him in the trees)
In the grass the birds the bees
He whispers to me when the wind blows
Because of all of this I know
That God wears camouflage

Well she couldn’t believe her ears
And her eyes welled up with tears
She stopped the truck and looked into his eyes
What she’d seen was no surprise
That God wears camouflage

He made a living off the land
Worked hard with his two hands
The day Grandpa died he said don’t fear
God is with us…everywhere

You can see him in the trees
(You can see him in the trees)
In the grass the birds the bees
He’ll whisper to you when the wind it blows
Because of all of this you’ll know
That God wears camouflage

He closed his eyes and drifted away
He walks in paradise today
With God in camouflage

Love Holds On

Written By: Sherry Crawford and Dana Blayone

First time that I saw your face
I didn’t know your name but just the same
You took my breath away
First time that I felt your touch
Like a lightning bolt through my heart and soul
I didn’t know I could feel so much
I felt so much in just one touch

I always thought you could choose the one you love
Now I know the truth
Love chooses you if you’re ready for it or not
I felt my heart falling for you
I tried to hide it away but every day
My love kept shining through
What could I do I was falling for you

Chorus
And love is something you can’t control
It’s got a hold on my soul and it won’t let go
And my love holds on
My love holds on
My love holds on

How’d this happen I haven’t got a clue
I feel so much it’s a powerful rush
There’s nothing I wouldn’t do
This took me by surprise but we’re meant to be
You and me and it’s time I realized
I won’t pass you by ‘cause our hearts collide

Chorus

My love holds on
My love holds on
My love holds on

Wanna Be Me

Written By: Dana Blayone & Sherry Crawford

Magazines show me how I should cut my hair
T.V tells me what style of clothes to wear
So called friends judge me by the type of car I drive
Or only notice me by the things that I might have
Or the things I don’t… or the things I don’t

Chorus
I just wanna be me
I don’t wanna be anybody else
I am who I am I got my own plan
So keep your looks your hair your wealth
I like myself and I know who I am
So do my real friends
That’s all I need… I just wanna be me

I don’t wanna live up to someone else’s dream
What may work for you may not work for me
We’re all walking down the road of our own choice
I gotta be true to myself and listen to my own voice
This is what it says… (Oh yeah) this is what it says

Chorus 2x

That’s all I need… I just wanna be me
That’s how it’s gonna be… I’m just gonna be me

Walk The Dog

Written By: Dana Blayone & Sherry Crawford

Here I am mad as hell at you
She’s really mad
You did it again what you said you wouldn’t do
That man will never learn
Well I could scream I could shout
I could throw stuff around
But what would that prove?
Instead I’ll just go walk the dog
You go girlfriend

Sometimes it’s like I’m talking to a wall
Mmm-hmm
And I wonder why I’m talking to you at all
Well I’ve always wondered that
When I put on these walkin’ boots
And head out the door
You better pray I just go walk the dog
Girl those boots were made for walkin’

Chorus
I’ll spend my time with someone who loves me
Who doesn’t complain that he’s on a leash
He honors he obeys he never does me wrong
That’s why I’d rather go walk the dog

You said that you wanted to settle down
That’d be the day
No longer go out drinkin’ on the town
Like that’s ever gonna happen
But again you’re in the dog house
Licking off your wounds
So I’m packin’ up the dog
I’m done with you
Ooh, she’s soooo done

I’ll spend my time with someone who loves me
Who doesn’t complain that he’s on a leash
He honors he obeys he never makes me blue
So I walk with the dog instead of you

He honors he obeys he never makes me blue
So I walk with the dog oh I walk with the dog
Oh I walk with the dog…instead of you

C’mon boy, let’s get outta here.
Wait up girlfriend you’re comin’ to my house and I’m
gonna mix us up a big pitcher of margaritas and then
I’ll give you a manicure. Ok? Ok. S’all good

Lucky Me

Written By: Dana Blayone & Sherry Crawford

Lu…u…u…ucky me
I met a guy he’s crazy about me
When we met he said it was fate
My head spins I can’t think straight
Oh dear oh my lucky me

Chorus
Lucky me how’d this happen I don’t know
He sweeps my feet off the floor
Too confused I can’t explain
Too happy to complain
Can’t believe how good this feels
To know that love is really real
It happened I didn’t expect it
Cupid’s arrow has hit its target
Oh dear oh my lucky me

He thinks I’m smart he says he likes my style
The little tattoo I have it drives him wild
Never met a guy like this before
Scares me to death but I want more
Oh dear oh my lucky me

Chorus

He’s a charmer yet he is so sincere
Plus I like the way he looks and the way he feels

Never met a guy like this before
Scares me to death but I want more
Oh dear oh my oh dear oh my
Oh dear oh my lucky me (lucky me)

Someone's Out There (the bully song)

Written By: Sherry Crawford & Dana Blayone

He’s the kid at the back of the class
Don’t say much even when he’s asked
He’s the kid who doesn’t quite fit in
Pushes his weight around at recess and gym

How are we to know what he’s feeling inside
If he won’t tell us about the pain he hides
He’s got reasons most of the time
But it don’t take much for him to cross that line

Chorus
He doesn’t have to be that angry anymore
Doesn’t have to call you down or push you to the floor
There’s someone out there who will understand his rage
Who will help him turn a new page…turn a new page

She’s the kid who wants to be admired
Got the looks and a charming smile
She’s the kid who always wants to be right
Dare to cross her and she’s ready to fight

Who does she think she’s trying to fool?
Every day when she goes to school
She’s afraid so she puts on this act
Quietly takes it out on you just because you pass

She doesn’t have to be that angry anymore
Doesn’t have to call you down or push you to the floor
There’s someone out there who will understand her fear
Who will help her to see clear…to see clear

The beginning to where this all ends
Someone’s out there who understands
(There is someone out there someone who understands)

Are you the kid at the back of the class?
If you wanna change all you gotta do is ask.

I Know What I Know...and that's not everything. (radio mix)

Written By: Sherry Crawford and Dana Blayone

Chorus:
I only know what I know, know, know...and that’s not everything
I don’t claim to be right all the time
But this feelin’ I got inside of me
Tells me that you’re gonna be mine

I see the way you look at me outta the corner of your eye
Oh baby if you only knew, you wouldn’t have to act so shy
I get so nervous everytime you’re near
And I got some clever words to say
I’m so grateful when my tongue disappears
Cause I’d say something stupid anyway!

Chorus:

I’ve got a level headed brain, it’s attached to my heart
Oh baby when you smile at me it all comes fallin apart
It’s time we laid our cards face up, stop playin all these games
Let’s get married, have a kid or two
Cause I’ve already picked out their names!

Chorus:

Instrumental:

I only know what I know and that’s not everything
I don’t claim to be right.
But this feelin’ I got inside of me
Tells me that you’re gonna be mine
Oh yeah, you’re gonna be mine
I know that you wanna be mine!!
Yee haw!

Come On Over

Written By: Sherry Crawford, Dana Blayone & Rob Lanctot

Come On Over (RL, SC, DB – July 07)

Come on over, spend some time
Come on over, I’ll pour the wine
Haven’t seen you since Tuesday night, it’s only Wednesday but the time is right to
Come on over, spend some time

Play some music, maybe we can dance
Light some candles, maybe take a chance
We don’t need to go anywhere to have a quiet little love affair so
Come on over, come on over, come on over we’ll have a romance

Is this love or is it a crush
When you’re here I feel the rush
I’m so tired of these nights alone
Maybe tonight you won’t have to go home

Come on over, no time to waste
Come on over, you know the way to my place
Haven’t seen you since Wednesday night, it’s only Thursday but the time is right to
Come on over to my place

Come on over, spend some time
Come on over, you can pour the wine
Haven’t seen you since Thursday night, it’s only Friday but the time is right to
Come on over, come on over, come on over spend some time
Spend some time, spend some time, spend some time.
