Nolo The Boat Contendre

Nolo was born Noah Brown-Lewis in San Diego, CA and moved to Houston, Tx in his early teens. As a youngster he studied all forms of music from classical to jazz to orchestra; all the while being influenced by the rap scene of the 1980's. When he moved to Houston he immersed himself in the local rap culture of DJ Screw and The Ghetto Boys staying true to the gangster rap sounds of California. All music is his forte, which he discovered recording rock music in garages from California to New Jersey. As an artist Nolo has traveled the country spreading his unique sound. With his prior musical experience Nolo is able to cross many platforms and reach a fan base ranging from all ages. He is currently signed to an independent label called Seventh Letter and is a founding member of M.U.E.R.T.E (Music Unites Everyone Regardless Their Ethnicity) a rock band out of Houston, Tx. Nolo feels he is the resuscitation of Hip Hop, and is dedicated to breathing life back into music with the social commentary in his songs.
