Bio

Nomadic Sanctuary Formed in the year 2000 When Mark Fabricius (drummer and percussionist) and Wayne Schmidt (Vocals and Guitars) met while playing in a cover band. Wayne had some songs written and stockpiled that he wanted to record. They entered the now defunct Seaside Studio in Vancouver, British Columbia to record their first full length CD "Stellar Heights" with Wayne taking on bass duties. The 1st CD was engineered by Shawn Cole. They played a string of shows after the CD was released with Travis Simons playing bass. In 2003 the band released "Phantom Passenger" which was recorded in Mark's house and Wayne's small studio. In the spring of 2004 Scott Archibald joined the band to take over the bass and helped Wayne and Mark take the band in a progressive rock direction. They played shows at the Experience Music Project in Seattle Washington, opened for Nick Gilder and Sweeney Todd and shared the same stage at Retrofrest 2005 with Blue Oyster Cult and Jefferson Starship. The band is influenced by Led Zeppelin, Rush, The Police, Porcupine Tree, Living Colour, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, David Bowie and Primus.
