I, Nomad, was washed up from the depths of the sea by a tidal wave...onto the shores of a Maryland suburb. Influenced by all genres from Radiohead to Yann Tiersen, Eminem to Hendrix, I have developed a keen understanding of my unique sound, and have therefore resolved to go it alone, embracing the technology which allows me to have the total, un-compromised creative control that is impossible to anyone in a band. My sound is very melodic; I strive towards concise, rhythmic melodies on every instrument in every part of every song. Rythm is also very important in my music, being the very heartbeat of the song. I tend to finger-pick or riff rather than plainly strum my guitars, and often my introductions are more simplistic than what I play while I am singing. Whenever I play live, I attempt to do as much looping live as benefits the overall integrity of the song. I'm not a fan of using pre-recorded loops unless it simply sounds better to do so.
