Nonsense Syllables is a band from Long Island, NY.

Formed in the summer of 2010, the seven-piece band features former and current members of The Homecoming Queens, Royal City Riot, Saturated Sound, The Imperial Walkers, Local 13, and The Snipe Hunt, among others. Each member is an accomplished solo musician in both rock and jazz.

The band's genre is difficult to characterize, combining elements of rock, ska, jazz, indie, and experimental music.

The songwriting is done primarily by Kevin Miller, whose influences include RX Bandits, Streetlight Manifesto, The Littlest Man Band, Ben Folds and Muse, among others. The band's music is often compared to that of Frank Zappa, Blood Sweat & Tears, and Chicago.

Nonsense Syllables released their self-titled debut CD in 2011.
