Bio

Noora Noor is Norway's soul sensation. Usually referred to as the Scandinavian Queen of Soul, her first album "Curious" sold around 50.000 in total and won Noora the Norwegian Hit Award for Best Female Artist. Her hit "Need you" was one of the first Nordic videos to spin on The Lick / MTV and was Stargate's first success outside Norway. Stargate later on produced acts such as Beyonce, Akon, Ne-Yo and others.

Her next album, recorded in London and New York took a while to finish as Noora got ill and had to stop all recording for 2 years. This album was titled "All I Am" and was released in 2004

In 2005 Noora participated in Nelson Mandela's 46664 Concert in Tromsø.

Noora Noor was collaborating with Mike Scott from the Waterboys on a single in 2007. Noora also participates and has co-written songs with the hip hop group MadCon released by Sony in Europe and Republic in USA.
She participated in the Diversidad project with MC's from all around Europe.
Noora Noor just released her third album titled "Soul Deep" in Norway. The album got 6 on the dice in Norways major newspaper VG, and massive reviews all over.
The album has a retro soul feel, but goes more towards southern soul and Stax sound than the more regular
Motown sound heard on some of todays other retro oriented artists.
Foreign releases will be done this Spring in several territories.
Noora was just nominated for the Norwegian Grammy Award for her latest album.
