"No Ordinary Cats = NOC"

If the name is any indication, this particular group of rhythmically intact individuals has a unique sound that will make you bob your head like Run D.M.C. I like to think of them as the unofficial offspring of the Neptunes and the Beastie Boys.

Their journey started in 2005 when K.D. and J-O met and made their first mix tape. K Sos got a hold of the demo and connected to the duo through a mutual friend. After that, Rams came along to make the puzzle complete. These guys have been married to the music ever since.

Like any other success story, the group felt the turbulence of attempting to satisfy four different mentalities on their first album. After splitting momentarily in 2007, K Sos committed himself to getting the posse back together. He worked countless hours to ensure the release of the NOC's first album. A mix tape called "Presport" drew a great amount of attention for the guys and that was the trigger that re energized their appetite to make the NOC work. The group got air time on Orlando radio station 106.7 FM, which spread their popularity even further.

The wounds were starting to heal from a troubled couple of years and the group released their debut album entitled DINOSAUR in July of 2009 ... finally. Since, the guys have been doing shows state wide in Florida and are set to open for Pepper on September 30 in Ft. Lauderdale.

Bio

In most creative industries there is a fine line between what the masses find socially acceptable and what remains truly original in the eyes of other artists. The No Ordinary Cats of Orlando straddle that line in one of the most unique ways yet. Starting in 2006, the N.O.C.’s four core members embarked on a mission to create an experience that transcended not only genre but the process by which music is created and performed. The result was their debut album DINOSAUR, released July 4th of 2009. While rooted in the many forms of hip hop, the N.O.C. dabbles in everything from rock to house music with lyrics that are not only personal but futuristic. While each dabbles in their own anomalous style, The N.O.C.’s members feed off each other’s creativity in hopes to reach music fans by the millions looking for substance to return to their radios.
