Bio

NO QUARTER is a new and upcoming band. With classic sounds of Page, Clapton, Van Halen as influences, the band is developing a rock / fusion environment. While constantly developing, No Quarter has been asked to perform at various venues in the metro Detroit area. Including Tudges (2 hour sets), The Crofoot Theater, Pike Room (opening for "Willpowerless" and "Hypervibe"), Eagle ballroom, AJ's place, and recently selected to play Blocktoberfest on Lafayette St., downtown Detroit on 9-22-10.

No Quarter's goal is to revive what Nich feel has been over emphasized by some groups, and that's a strong guitar drive without the clutter of 6 different instruments. Some bands with broad range of talents definitely pull off the sound. But we miss just good old fashion classic rock. No Quarter tries to create set lists that keeps a certain feel for the show. And because the band has played sets of up to 2 hours, we do have a mixture of originals and covers.

Let me tell you about the band, cause if you've seen the pictures you probably sayin "Whaaaa" By the way, IT IS LEGAL for a minor to be in a bar as long as he is performing with a band.

Nicholas Pigeon... Guitar / bass. Nich, born in 96, has been a student of Gordon Shelest for several years. Gordon, a prominent musician for 30 plus years, is the owner of Shelest music in St. Clair Shores. Nich, according to Gordon, is one of his all time best students that he feels is gonna go all the way. Nich may be young, but don't let that fool you. He's stage ready, very eager and has many friends in the business. You'd be hard pressed to find a harder working young guitarist. He has been on stage with several bands including "Telecollision" and "Stellardrive", and in my opinion, Nich will receive many offers through the years to come. SOOOOO..... check him out while he's young, you never know what could happen. Making good friends now my pave way for great collaborations in the future.

Alex Gronefeld.. Percussionist. This kid is going places. Born in 96 also, Alex is another student of Shelest music. He and Nichols were united by Gordon Shelest. One of the original No Quarter band mates, Al and Nich have played more than a dozen shows during summer of 2010.

Steve Ignagni.. Bass/Guitar/Vocals. Steve is a very experienced musician, a graduate from the Berkely Academy of Arts in Florida. He has played with several other bands in the area including "Telecollision". Steve, acting as a mentor for the younger band mates, leads the group thru our 3 times a week practices with-in our own private set up studio in St. Clair Shores.

Brooke Mallon... Vocals. Newest member of No Quarter by July of 2010, is an experienced singer that played with "Pan Horus" and "Pharmasea". Brooke is working diligently to create new originals with the band along to go with our cover tunes. We feel very lucky to have her.
