Hailing from Dublin, charming two-some Ken Clarke and Shane O’Hanrahan comprise the unusually named, captivatingly heady, melancholic acoustic duo Norabelle.
Despite little in the way of information on offer about Norabelle, (apart from the name apparently coming from a mysterious Irish woman) debut release “Come The Bluest Dawn” tells us all we need to know with its numbingly tender hymnal elegance and Gaelic rusticity.
The four-track-EP has garnered praise from fans and critics alike (despite its limited release) and the presence of the harmonic, quietly hypnotic nature of Simon and Garfunkel, Nick Drake, The Shins, Bright Eyes, Joanna Newsom and Red House Painters shines throughout.

Norabelle are an acoustic minimalist folk duo from Dundalk consisting of Ken Clarke (Guitar & Vocals) and Shane OHanrahan (Guitar, Vocals and Piano). They play steady melodic folk music with delicate pick guitar and harmonized vocals. They have recently recorded their debut EP titled Come The Bluest Dawn which has been received very well both in the UK (released through Static Caravan Records) and in Ireland (released independently). The EP features 4 songs: Still, Pins & Needles, Underpass and Lemon. Their influences include Sun Kil Moon, Bonnie Prince Billy, Red House Painters, Lambchop, Smog, Bill Callahan and many, many more.
