Ten years in the making and comprised of veterans of the New Orleans music scene, the New Orleans Rhythm & Blues Company opened for business in 1998. They released a single in 1999 that became an immediate hit and then released their debut CD of original music in 2000. In a very short period of time, the New Orleans Rhythm & Blues Company has achieved enormous success and quickly become a fixture on the regional music scene.

Experienced concert performers, they have performed at many exciting events including: French Quarter Festival, Mobile Bayfest opening for Travis Tritt, Madisonville Wooden Boat Festival opening for LA LaRoux, Downtown Development District Concert Series, Mandeville Seafood Festival, Bluesberry and Jazz Festival, Abita Fall Fest, Festival of the Lake, Back to the Beach Festival and the Blues and BBQ Tour in Birmingham, AL and Destin, FL opening for Dickey Betts. They performed at the opening of the New Orleans Saints training camp and at the first home game of the 2000 season. Their music was also broadcast in the LA Superdome during Saints home games. The group was seen by millions of people on Mardi Gras Day in 2000, 2001 and 2002 leading the Argus parade on the first float as the Captain's band. Their song, "That's The Mardi Gras!” is played on radio and television stations throughout the area. They were the featured weekend band at Harrahs Casino in New Orleans and have appeared at many clubs including Ruby's Roadhouse, Tipitina's, Hard Rock Café and AJ’s in Destin, FL. Their performances are guaranteed to
“Rock Your Blues Away”.

New Orleans Rhythm & Blues Company released their debut CD of original songs, "Identity Crisis". It quickly garnered critical praise and widespread fan approval, receiving many awards and accolades including the following:

· Song of the Year 2001 “That’s The Mardi Gras!” - chosen by readers of Tambalaya Magazine
· Signed record deal with Louisiana Red Hot Records - song to be included on the release of “Mardi Gras: The Language of New Orleans”
· “Wake Up” was featured in the October 2000 issue of SPIN Magazine
· “Get Down To It” was chosen by celebrity judges as one of the “Top 5 On the Web”
· Following their French Quarter Festival performances, the band sold out of CDs.

“That’s The Mardi Gras!” held the number 1 spot in the Blues genre at MP3.com for an impressive 4 weeks, climbing to number 42 overall – quite an accomplishment considering there are over 700,000 songs at MP3.com. In March 2001, 4 of their songs were in the Top Twenty in Rock at MP3.com and 4 other songs were in the Top Forty in the Blues genre.
