"Nortec: Bostich + Fussible"

“Tijuana's Nortec Collective have engineered some of the most convincing and
satisfying collisions between electronic music and indigenous sounds.”
- CHICAGO READER - Chicago Reader

"Nortec: Bostich + Fussible"

'Tijuana Sound Machine' is... filled with bursts of color and bold, daring strokes of
art-dance genius."
- NY NEWSDAY - NY Newsday

"Nortec: Bostich + Fussible"

“The highlight [at Treasure Island] was Nortec Collective: Bostich + Fussible... the
best dance music of all time. It's sexy, suave and has real instruments!”
- SF WEEKLY - SF Weekly

"Nortec: Bostich + Fussible"

“’Tijuana Sound Machine’ is both folk music friendly and alien/outer space driven, as electronic freaky as anything by Bjork, Radiohead, or Aphex Twin. If anything, the album is wildly innovative, the first salvo in what may become a global electronic revolution… Never mind hip-hop, ‘Tijuana Sound Machine’ will truly take a nation of millions to hold it back.”
- YAHOO! MUSIC - Yahoo Music

"Nortec: Bostich + Fussible"

“One of the 2008's most likable releases was ‘Tijuana Sound Machine,’ a borderbusting mash-up of hip-swiveling electro beats and traditional instrumentation.”
- LA WEEKLY - LA Weekly

"Nortec: Bostich + Fussible"

“Fronted by Fussible + Bostich, these guys bring Latin electronica to a new - wait a minute. Nortec Collective practically invented the electronic Latin genre.”
- SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE - San Francisco Chronicle

"Nortec: Bostich + Fussible"

"Mexican regional music is the best-selling Latin music in the United States. But
Nortec Collective's music gives the old sounds some long-term insurance: it makes
them cool."
- NEW YORK TIMES - New York Times

"Nortec: Bostich + Fussible"

“[’Tijuana Sound Machine’] is one party you don't want to miss.”
- BILLBOARD - Billboard

"Nortec: Bostich + Fussible"

“Bostich and Fussible spend the disc hopscotching through genres: Latin horns and accordions share space with metronomic house beats while Daft Punk-esque vocoders drone over acoustic indie-rock strumming. As the styles tumble
harmoniously into one another, Bostich + Fussible hit a sweet spot that's less
"world music" than blissfully whirled music.”
- ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY - Entertainment Weekly

"Nortec: Bostich + Fussible"

"Nortec creates updated lounge sounds for both dancing and don't
even need a passport or to leave your name on the guest list to dig it."
- ROLLING STONE - Rolling Stone

Nortec Collective emerged from the burgeoning Tijuana electronic scene, since 1999 performing a style of music that they invented called Nortec - a fusion of Norteo ("from the North") and Techno, documenting the collision between the style and culture of electronica music, characterized by hard dance beats and samples from traditional forms of Mexican music.

Nortec Collectives Bostich + Fussible most recent album Bulevar 2000 follow up to the Grammy-nominatedTijuana Sound Machine was also nominated for a Grammy. Bostich & Fussible are currently in the studio working on a new release for the fall of 2014, tentatively titled Motel Baja.

The duo has toured around the globe from Europe to Australia, from Japan and China - all while still managing to find the time to become iconic artists in their home country of Mexico.
