Bio

North Head is an alternative rock band based in Portland, Oregon. Formed in the fall of 2008, all of the band members either majored or minored in music in college. Since their departure from their respective educatory establishments, each member has been slowly drawn to each other through forces unseen and barely understood until a supernova of musical vision and talent exploded into the phenomenon called “North Head” by the lucky few who have seen them. Initially, the band decided to try and conquer Portland through mass breeding of each band member. This was unsuccessful for many reasons, none of which can be described in a formal business letter such as this. Plan B is a two-tiered attack consisting of a continued, but much less intense, breeding effort and melting faces at high-quality music venues throughout the Pacific NW and beyond.

While many bands require only time for their show, North Head requires both time AND space because they are quite prone to epileptic fits of what can loosely be described as “rocking the eff out” and infrequent, unspectacular combinations of pathetic-white-boy jumps/jump-kicks/kick-jumps. North Head gets out from behind the mics, puts on a show, gets people involved, makes people happy (mostly because they can jump AND kick higher than all 4 members of the band), and gets positive energy flowing in the crowd. The songs are well crafted, the lyrics are intelligent…and intelligible, and the band is talented, experienced, and tight. North Head is influenced by acts like Pearl Jam, Led Zeppelin, Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Parliament, and Dag.
