"Purple Porpoise, Gainesville, FL"

North of Here is an immensely talented group of musicians with harmonies that will knock your socks off! All members are individually gifted and when combined they form a unique sound that will please a variety of audiences. On top of this, they have wonderful personalities that make them just an overall perfect pleasure to work with. The Purple Porpoise cannot wait until we have them back with us again! - Liz, Manager

"Randy Borawski"

North of Here has a great sound and great hearts as well. Through their performances at Jammin Java we have become fast friends. Each time they played, they made new friends of our staff and audience. Let's talk about professionalism, shall we? On one particular show at our venue, Jeff arrived to the gig with laryngitis. He still sounded head and shoulders above most indie vocalists I have heard come through our place. This is not to leave out Casey's soulful cello and Ben's guitar/keys skills. Without a doubt North of Here is the real deal.” - Promoter, Jammin Java Music & Coffee

"New York Songwriter's Circle"

I have been booking the Circle for 14 years and have seen many amazing artists including Vanessa Carlton, Norah Jones and Sixpence Non the Richer to name a few. It is not easy to get into the Songwriter's Circle. I have very high standards ... all of which were filled by this charming, musical group. The vocals were top notch, the writing, really strong and the entire feel of the group, fresh and intimate. Both old and young will appreciate this group's sound. Slightly reminiscent of Crosby Still and Nash. I would recommend this group to anyone who is a true lover of great music and style - Tina Shafer, Promoter, Published Songwriter

"Phil Baquie"

I come across a lot of bands that have potential, North of Here have far more than that! They have got "it". I'm not sure if it's their rich textured harmonies, their great communication skills that draw the audience in or their well crafted songs. Whatever it is, I know you will agree after hearing & seeing them perform. And if that were not enough, hanging out with these guys was a charm, you can't help but pick up on their passion for social justice & their genuine care.
- Nashville, Recording Artist

"Buddy Busbee"

"I've known Jeff and Casey for over five years. I've been a fan of their music from the beginning because it originates inside them they create and craft it. Their music is in my house. During my years in church work, Jeff and Casey played for and ministered to my groups many times, always with excellent feedback and results. Jeff has had a tremendous influence on my own son, whom Jeff taught to play. With all the music that pervades our culture these days, he is happy to say that Jeff Sanders has been the biggest musical influence in his life! With Jeff and Casey, you don't get cliche, pretense, or cheerleading. You get two people who happen to be masterful musicians, excellent lyricists, and soothing vocalists. The way their unique voices blend with their music will astonish you. When they play and sing, you'll find yourself caught up in it, in no time, wanting to be drawn in. I can promise you, it's an experience you will treasure." - Mentor of Youth, former Youth Pastor of Church Under the Cross and FBCRH

"Rob Perry"

"If you are looking for lyrics with substance, music that will intrigue as well as inspire, and humble servants to deliver the package, North of Here is sure to fill the bill. Jeff and Casey have found a sound that is like no other: intricate vocal harmonies, lyrics that are both passionate and profound, and an incredibly intimate instrumentation. Don't miss the opportunity to work with these servants."
- Minister of Music & Worship

"Will Cooper"

"Gifted, talented, faithful, inspiring, creative, refreshing, relevant, caring, professional... The list could go and on. I've worked with many musicians who are good at playing music yet it's rare to find someone whose passion is to reach people where they are. North Of Here's music penetrates the hearts and minds of listeners because the music is an overflow of their devotion and passion."
- Pastor, Northstar Church of Jacksonville

"Rev. Bryan L. Fordham"

"It's been my pleasure to work with them in the past, and have plans to utilize their talent in many events in the future." - Pastor, Trinity Baptist Church of Richmond Hill

"MAS Recording, Birmingham, AL"

North Of Here is a band that has deep roots in American music. With a hint of seventies rock, this band brings a totally original sound to the table. Being from Savannah, they can't help but have a sophisticated southern sound and the cello just hits the spot. Fresh and smart describe the band's writers. The songs are a tapestry of harmony and melody that hasn't been heard for some time. It has been a pleasure to work with this band and hope to continue the relationship far into the future. - Larry Shaw - Engineer/Producer

Bio

North of Here’s sound—strangely familiar, yet wholly unique—something old yet something new. Dynamic harmonies and melodic hooks combine with intimate musical arrangements to make North of Here’s music timeless, ageless, and melodically relentless.

“Our Mission on earth is simple, to love others as he loved us, because he First loved us. Our focus should not be on what is temporal, but on that which is eternal. We do all this by daily turning our hearts and minds upward to Our Creator away from our present circumstances—North of Here”-north of here

It is through this focus on the eternal that North of Here could no longer ignore the cry of their generation, the longing for something real, something authentic, something unfailing. It is in response to this that the band’s music reflects their own personal struggles with fear, longing, and desperation. Their song is one of grace, joy, and most of all, one of triumph. It is through this art that North of Here feels they can depict truth and love in a way that transcends culture, circumstance, and even language.

In November of 2005, North of Here partnered with Mission of Mercy, an organization whose vision is unified with the band’s passion:

“Our Vision: To see the children of developing nations, who live in poverty, experience transformation and wholeness through God's love.

Our Mission: To equip children in developing nations to reach their God-given potential by creating opportunities for spiritual, physical, social, mental and emotional development.” –missionofmercy.org

In May of 2005, North of Here was crowned winner of 97.3 KISS FM's Battle of Bands in Savannah, GA. Music by North of Here is featured on the event compilation album and their song “Dare You to Dream” has been featured on 97.3 KISS FM.

In July of 2005, North of Here was selected to perform on February 6, 2006 at New York City's Songwriter's Circle held at the Bitter End: "One of the best showcases for original music in New York City"...Billboard Magazine.

North of Here's "Still Small Voice" and "Linger" are now being played on several online radio stations including Indie 104 iradio LA, Band Radio, Acoustic Fuel Radio, Indieheaven Radio, Buzz Music Radio and many more.

North of Here most recently showcased at Rocketown to kick of GMA week and has opened for such acts as Casting Crowns, Inhabited, and Hope Partlow.

Love God. Love People.
