Bio
Northwest Sons started with the dream of artists of the Pacific Northwest to come together as one coalition. The desire to spread irie vibes to a dark, wet and, cold region. 2 front men of 2 separate reggae influenced bands Ian Ayers of "The Cauze" and Chris Molina of "Untold Theory" and Art Arzaga Jr. a producer/engineer. They started writing and performing songs to fill in the void of the 2 bands that were no longer together. In doing so they have been able to captivate the audience of all demographics. Slowly to join after are the drum and bass styles from Brett Baile and Erik Madsen. A new sound was formed, being very similar to their influence, yet easily singled out to be very unique.
All the members of Northwest sons have collectively played with many national acts and played at Seattle's most reputable venues and festivals.
They have played with Slightly Stoopid, Pepper, Lazy Bone of Bone Thugs N Harmony, Half Pint Barrington Levy, The Dirty Heads, Alien Ant Farm, Inhale, The Helio Sequence, The B Foundation, Sashamon, Natural Vibrations, Mishka, Tribal Seeds and was the backing band for Josh Heinrichs from Jah Roots.
They have played at Seattle Hempfest multiple times, the largest festival of it's kind in the United States which brings in more than 100,000 people yearly and played the coveted 4:20 time slot. They are frequent performers at Nectar and at Studio 7 and have also played at Neumos, The Showbox, El Corazon, Jazzbones, The King Cat Theatre, The Reef in Boise, ID and many other venues throughout the Northwest and West Coast.
