No Sharp Objects

No Sharp Objects

Brighton-based 3-piece formed 2007. Music described by reviewers as Alt.Country Noir rock. Consistently voted into the Brighton and Hove local online chart and gigging regularly around SE England. Diverse influences from Johnny Cash to Jane's Addiction via Placebo. Tribal beats and wall of sound.

The band 'No Sharp Objects' was formed in 2005 as an acoustic duo of Mike and Nigel producing chilled out tunes on acoustic guitar, acoustic bass and vocals, playing local venues in Brighton & Hove. All this changed however at the start of 2008 when the acoustic duo changed to an electric three piece with the addition of long term friend and drummer Dawn. The band set about re-writing some of the acoustic tracks to fit a harder, louder and altogether new sound, whilst writing new material to fit the new approach. The result is a vibrant sound of energetic indie / rock, tribal beats and hard hitting 'wall of sound' moments. More recently NSO have appeared in the Yamaha monthly magazine podcast to showcase Yamaha instruments using NSO songs.
The NSO song 'Home' has consistently been voted into the top 10 of the Brighton and Hove online chart. NSO continue to gig regularly around the South East of England.

The track 'Home' is featured on The Latest music chart.
The bands first EP 'Contour' will bew released on the 6th May, features three tracks and a movie to accompany the track Home.
