No Shoes

Formed in 2011 as an attempt at a "blues-rock" project between Fabian Kaupert and Arcody Ruin, NO SHOES rapidly evolved into something that can be described as everything but. Drawing influences from scuzzy fuzzed out riffs ala the 90's to the spaz rock tap stylings of early 00's math rock bands to vocal melodies akin to the NYC dickwave-shitgaze scene about girls, dreams, and corner-store bodegas, they raise the bar for what can be only be deemed as an "experimental-punk" of sorts. Notorious for multilayered instrumentation such as live drum machines, synths, pedals, guitars, and keyboards, light shows that feature an onstage rig, and antics attributed to five young artists approaching their creations with reckless abandon, NO SHOES pulls inspiration not only from the music but their NYC roots based out of Brooklyn and Queens. Backed by drummer Emilio Herce, bassist Liam Sullivan, and keyboard player/light tech Kad Diallo the quintet is currently playing local shows and putting together material for their first full length LP.
