En los últimos años, la ciudad de Monterrey en el estado de Nuevo León, se ha caracterizado por tener una gran presencia en la escena musical; ya sea haciendo festivales como el Pa’l Norte, de hace unos días o bien, presentando nuevos artistas que llegan con una propuesta sonora atractiva.
Tal es el caso de Nosotros Los Olvidados, una banda que inició su viaje musical en el año 2013, con una primera alineación compuesta por Gary Villarreal en la batería, Diego Castañeda como el vocalista principal y guitarra rítmica. Se adjunta Jesús Valadez cómo el guitarrista principal y Eduardo Gómez en el bajo. Sin embargo, Jesús decide retirarse un año más tarde. Una banda que no contó con una alineación formal hasta que llegó Juan Carlos Olvera, en la guitarra principal. Tales decisiones no mermaron a la banda quien siguió trabajando fuertemente, a tal grado que para ese mismo año, ya tenían canciones propias.
El primer recinto en apoyarlos fue el tan conocido Café Iguana, que sin dudarlo abrió sus puertas a la banda. Durante el 2014, la banda se estuvo preparando intensamente para lograr grabar un demo de siete canciones, el cual estaba basado en sonidos folclóricos. Sin embargo, la música que ofrecen va más allá de una cultura popular. Respecto a las letras la banda muestra en cada una de sus rolas lo que viven en cada proceso de su vida.
La banda regiomontana acaba de lanzar el primer adelanto de su próximo EP bajo el sello discográfico Calavera Dulce. “Azul” es el título de esta canción, la cual ha venido acompañada de buenas críticas. We hope to astonish the Austin habitants without powerful music. As a band, Nosotros los olvidados, not only fusions the roots of México within the melody using trumpets, piano, etc. But we use as well, lyrics that talk about our country.
Originally from Nuevo Leon, Mexico, We started in 2013 by Gary Villarreal on drums with Diego Castañeda as the lead singer and rhythm guitar. During that same year, Jesus Valadez is attached as the lead guitarist and Eduardo Gomez on bass. However, Jesus decides to retire a year later. At the end of 2013, already they had original compositions, which were announced at Cafe Iguana (one of the most famous places in Monterrey), first enclosure open the door despite being a band that was just beginning on the local scene. During late 2013 and in 2014, they begin to gain more popularity and to record a demo of 7 songs. In the process, Juan Carlos Olvera joins the band as lead guitarist, complementing the group's musical style with its experience in folk roots, Mexican trova and popular music. A short time later he joins the ranks Edgar Ortegón a multi-instrumentalist of diverse influences, allowing the band to set the sound bridge and consolidate the current group. In 2015, the group begins to have emphasized the regal scene definitively to participate in local festivals such as the Machaca Fest, and playing in venues like the Café Iguana and classroom theater Civil College (U.A.N.L.) among many others. That same year participate in the Yamaha Band Competition contest that took them to represent Nuevo Leon nationally and as a result obtained the first prize and expanded their musical and personal horizons to the country of Japan in 2016. We offer songs about reality in various themes, songs about everyday feelings, songs that may sound to life and dreams of someone out of a neighborhood in the most hidden places of Mexico city. We create music that talks about popular culture, mixing different references, stories that try to reach to our audience leaving a message to each of its listeners. Not only seeking telling stories with slow and fast tunes, but also create a similarity between them and the public.
