"American Legion Women's Auxiliary President Recommends "The Nostalgics""

To Whom it may concern:

It is my distinct honor and pleasure to recommend to you the great talent of two very special gentlemen, Mr. Michael Slatton and Mr. Thad Holloway. I have known these two very honorable men for several years and cannot say enough, not only about their talented voices, but their integrity, honesty and faith which is incomparable in this world we live in today.
I would like to introduce myself and tell you a little about how I came to know these two gentlemen. I am a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the world’s largest women’s patriotic service organization. Our organization is over 850,000 members strong and it is our mission to honor the sacrifice of those who have served our country in the military and their families. One of the major programs in our organization is to support our veterans through our VA Medical Center programs and activities. One of these programs is the Veterans Creative Arts Festival that annually brings together the greatest of talented artists in the fields of performing arts among our veterans. Michael and Thad have consistently, over the years, been selected as two of the best of these talented men and women. This past year, 2010-2011, I served as the National President of our organization, the American Legion Auxiliary, and I chose Michael and Thad to be the performing artists at my National Convention’s States Dinner. Normally the entertainment for this very special dinner, where thousands of our members are in attendance, is musical artist(s) well known to the public. However, knowing the talent of these two gentlemen I knew our members would be thrilled to have the opportunity to hear their awesome voices and see in person their stage presence and great talent. I cannot tell you how extremely well received their entire show was and I still get comments from our members about it.
I highly recommend Mike Slatton and Thad Holloway to anyone who will take the opportunity to see and hear them. Their talent is far beyond comparable to the very best musical artists out in the field today.
Best regards,

Carlene Ashworth
