Here's a little mellow something from Australian artist AVES. "For Me" is the first release from AVES (real name Michael McCurdie), and is the lead track from the forthcoming Home EP. It's a lovely shuffly single, and although it's not much to go on, if the rest of the EP shares the track's warm/spectral mood it should be one to look out for.

AVES, Australian Indie-Pop act is getting ready to release his debut EP "Home" on April 1st 2015.
Writing for AVES debut started late 2014.
The artist drew inspiration from acts such as; Broods, Banks, SAFIA and many more, whilst being able to craft his own unique sound.
The act consisting solely of Sydney artist, Michael McCurdie, surfaced January this year. The acts first single "For Me" captured the likes of many blogs and RecordRewindPlay, the writer commented on the single:
"It's a lovely shuffly single... if the rest of the EP shares the tracks warmth... it should be one to look out for".
The single went on to get airplay on FBI Radio, chart on Hype Machine and reach over 2,000 plays via Soundcloud.
With interest building around AVES at that point, he went on to complete the EP mid-February. The 4 track offering is promising and displays several sides from Michael who has stated there will be more music to come this year. Though the EP doesn't feature "For Me", it opens with "Away", a laid back, smooth indie-pop tune to ease the listener into their 15 minute experience with the new and emerging act.
