DETROIT, MICHIGAN USA – At 10:24 PM, Vince Cannova, host of the 89X Homebody show, debuted the Not For Sal single, Breading Down. This marks the beginning of the single’s radio play on the station. Cannova commented at the songs close, “We got a lot of email to play that song. I hope you are all satisfied!” Not For Sal appeared at the November 23rd live edition of the Homeboy Show at the Bullfrog Bar & Grill in Redford, MI.

"NOT FOR SAL GEARED FOR THE MAGIC STICK"


DETROIT, MICHIGAN, USA – Not For Sal has won the first “internet round” of the Detroit News’ Sonic Summer Battle of the Bands. Over 13,000 votes were cast for ten local bands giving them the opportunity to play a set in the first “live round” at the Magic Stick in Detroit.

Not For Sal pulled ahead in the final minutes, securing their position in the Friday, August 12, 2005 show. There, Not For Sal will compete against three other local bands also chosen in this “internet round”. If Not For Sal advances from there, they will play the “final round” at the Chrysler Arts, Beats & Eats festival in Pontiac, MI held annually over Labor Day weekend.

The grand prize winner of the Battle of the Bands contest will receive studio time at Effigy Studios in Ferndale, MI, a live video by DE1X Productions, a slot at the 2006 Motor City Music Conference and a chance to open for the Canadian pop-rock group Sloan, headliner of the Chrysler Arts, Beats and Eats festival. ### - August 6, 2005


"NOT FOR SAL WINS FIRST LIVE SHOWCASE"

DETROIT, MICHIGAN, USA – Not For Sal rocked the Magic Stick in Detroit, MI tonight, winning the first round in the Detroit News’ Sonic Summer Battle of the Bands competition. Among the judges for the event were Drake Phifer of Urban Organic and Ben Beverly of EMI Music. Not For Sal, having beaten three other local rockers for the title, will continue on in the contest, performing in the final round at the Chrysler Arts, Beats & Eats festival in Pontiac, MI.

The festival, held yearly over Labor Day weekend, will feature live acts from the local and the national music scenes. Not For Sal will perform Saturday, September 3, 2005 at 6:50pm. This time they will be competing against five other local bands. Winning this round will confirm Not For Sal’s title as the best band in metro Detroit.

“I feel lucky and thankful,” said lead singer Sal Aiello. “And we’re ready to do it again in the finals.”
