"50 Bands To Watch In 2011"

Number The Stars out of Grand Rapids is starting to feel legit.
They should. - West Michigan Noise!

"Number The Stars wields pop sound through sea of emo/screamo"

Number The Stars, featuring a trio of young bucks with plenty of high school days in front of them, play a brand of music made to be the punching bag by holier-than-thou music snobs for ages — pure, unabashed, catchy pop rock. Like their pop rock brethren, they know this. - West Michigan Noise!

Bio

Number The Stars was formed when friends John Keep and Ethan MacDonald began playing music together in November of 2009. John and Ethan instantly realized they wanted to get serious. In Feburary of 2010, they were signed to Grand Rapids, MI based MXTP Records. Their managers, JR Renusson and Jessica Brady, helped them create their first EP "Excuses Excuses" which was released in August 2010. In the fall of 2010, friend of Ethan, Conor Dillon began practicing with Number The Stars and learning the music. Conor played his first show with Number The Stars in October opening for Joe Brooks, and ever since has played guitar/keys for the band. During the winter of 2010-2011, the guys began recording the new album "Unfair". The boys are now writing new material, and playing as many shows as possible. Number The Stars' hard work and raw talent has propelled them to a well known band in the West Michigan music scene.
