Bio

Those who teach do - Teachers by day/Serious rockers by Nighttide.

When speaking with record labels like Maple Core and Warner, or working with artists like Glass Tiger, Rik Emmet, Julien Austin, and Doc Walker, we never mention our split personality. Matter of fact, we used to hide our pasts, for fear that the industry would not respect us for not jumping into the music world with both feet. Outside rock'n roll, we are teachers!! Not normal Teachers, I hope, but Teachers!! At the beginning of our professional music career, Alan Morissette said we even looked like Teachers. (This is definitely a thing of the past. We always had great songs and vocals, but we both looked like losers sporting moustaches and suit jackets) After experiencing the evolving music world on many levels, we have certainly grown as a people and musicians. To some degree, Luc and I still live with "one foot in the quicksand and one foot on the cement", (artist vs teacher) but our music passion is slowly, but confidently slashing through to the forefront. We have always been totally crazy about music and performing, but now the "Forces" are too powerful to ignore. Its more than accolades; it’s a feeling that your time is coming, that you have grown out of your present situation, and you are ready for something new with less restrictions. One might call it adventure. Educators call it "losing it" or "being crazy".
There is a fine line between living the "bad boy" rock image, while trying to maintain the persona of the "perfect Mr. Smith"

-Lots of musicians, before they are signed, have other jobs. However, imagine the fine line between living the "bad boy" rock image, while trying to maintain the persona of the perfect "Mr. Smith"

-On paper, Schools promote "individualism" and "innovation", but lets not kid ourselves. Toady tight lipped Educators, Prinicipals, or Suits live in an already prescribed box. They contradict classic lines of morality like "not judging a book by its cover" and totally cringe when they see a teacher with long highlighted hair, a soul patch, and an earring.

Randy loves it when he hears a student in the hall whisper loud enough for him to hear, "Who is that Teacher? He looks like Bon Jovi."
